Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Sad how many people today try to blur the distinctions between the sexes. God made those distinctions. He created them. They serve a purpose in His eyes. They were created by Him in His wisdom.

The sad thing about trying to blur the distinctions is that the relationship between a man and a woman represents the relationship between Christ and His church. If you do not have a masculine man and feminine woman you can not see the symbolism inherent in the relationship.

A godly man lovingly leads his wife as Christ leads His sheep. A godly man knows that leadership means serving his wife, just as Christ was a humble servant. A godly man loves his wife and expresses it by loving her just as Jesus does, independent of all circumstances or bad behavior.

A godly woman lovingly submits to her husband as she would also submit to her Lord. A godly woman knows that submission means serving her husband, just as Christ submitted to the plans of His Father. A godly woman loves her husband and expresses it by serving him and doing him good, not evil, all her days, independent of all circumstances or bad behavior.

A couple who seeks to follow after the Lord will reflect Him in the most beautiful way. It’s just another way to let our light shine.
